Energy Innovations Information Review

As Energy Innovations has emerged as a leading solar technology provider we have decided to do an overview on what the company offers and how it began. Having been fostered to it's current state by the incubator company known as Idealab, Energy Innovations has earned it's name with the designs of the Sunflower high concentration photo voltaic systems. All of which use mirrors or lenses to focus light, thereby reducing the number and size of PV panels needed to generate energy. It's a very efficient design concept that is being used on a much larger scale by power specific solar farms.

One of the neatest parts of this company is how it has been working with corporations to produce on site solar electricity. Specifically, in late 2006 the company completed a 1.6 megawatt system for Google's Mountain View campus headquarters. This was hailed as the largest installation of solar technology for any corporation in the United States. Also, Google proudly displays one Sunflower unit in it's main lobby at the Googleplex just below the Spaceship One replica hanging over the stairs. Definitely check it out if you're there!
